Friday Randomness

I've had a busy few days since I got back. I took Wednesday off because I needed to get some stuff done around the house. I painted my bathroom again. It's beige. I'm moving out of this apartment this summer so I wanted to prepare for that before things got too busy. And since my mom is taking care of my cats while I travel, I figured this would be a good time. So it's painted and looks much better.

While taking care of real errands I stopped into Rue 21 and picked up a few new things. I got this cute headband. I love headbands. I used to wear them all the time because I was growing my hair out for Locks of Love and needed something to make my pony tail more interesting. So after two years of that I kind of stopped once my hair was cut and could be styled cutely. But I thought I'd try it once again.
I also really enjoy large rings. Not for everyday but for fun. I thought this flower ring was interesting. I can't believe how old lady my hands look. Yikes.
My real question is if I should really be trying to pull something like this off. I don't want to be the thirtyish year old trying to be "young" Do any of you worry about this or am I just over thinking it? Probably. Thoughts?

Tomorrow I'm off to Washington DC with two of my friends/coworkers (Jill and Tara) for a conference. I'm excited to go because I love DC and I love this conference because many of my friends from other schools will be there and it's always a good time. We are staying here...the Gaylord National. Not too shabby.
I'm off to watch the rest of the Syracuse game (I still love my Orange!) and get ready go leave at 6 am. I'm sure we'll have some fun adventures in DC--stayed tuned.
Have a great weekend!

Love the ring! LOOOOVE the nail polish!! :)

And, I worry about the same thing. My "new" baby body and stay at home lifestyle seems to be well-suited for that old hippie vibe that I moved away from in my quasi-adult years. Am I too old to be walking around in Chuck Taylors? I think not.

You look fabulous. Wear it with pride, sister!

so sad about the Orange.

I got your little gift in the mail today! Thanks so much! I love it! Kevin asked (with sarcasm in his voice) if it was a blog giveaway that I had managed to rig from you. hahaha! Have a good time in DC. I wish I was going... I miss ACPA. Say hi to any of the GIG-ers for me

You're as young as you feel. Wear that ring!

That is so great that you are growing your hair out for Locks of Love. I would like to that to, but that would mean I'd have to quit coloring it first...

Don't you remember? 30 is the new 20! Go ahead, wear it! It's adorable. I love the headband too. I think I will be getting me some new ones as well. I am beginning to really like them no since I am growing my hair out too! This hotel looks amazing. Have fun!

Kelly, I am an old woman who donated her hair to locks of love a year and a half ago. They do not want gray hair, they want you to send your long dyed hair! They just want hair. They take gray but cannot use it and have to sell it. But.....if it is dyed they can use it.
