Lash Love

It's the end of March. I can't believe it. I haven't blogged much, but not because I don't have anything to say. I always have something to say. In fact I have about 10 posts waiting to be finished. (is it weird that I just create posts with random things and then go back to write about them?) I have just been so busy with work and life. As we all have been. I get home late at night and sometimes the best I can do is eat something and go to bed. How does life get so busy? Actually I just heard a good quote this past weekend:

"If you want to get somewhere fast....slow down."

So true. This can be applied to many areas of my life right now. So I'm going to try to slow down and take time for the little things. Like actually publishing blog posts, reading and catching up with friends that I haven't talked to in awhile.

Now with that touchy feeling stuff said, I wanted to talk about something completely opposite. I may want to slow down in life but I would like to speed up something very specific...

My eyelash growth. Yes, it's true.

I love mascara. It's probably one of my favorite beauty routines (aside from painting my nails) each day. I just feel like it puts the exclamation point on my makeup. I don't have long lashes. Being a red head I have really light eyelashes (hence my love affair with dark mascara). My dream has always been to have really long lashes and interesting eyes. So I've been thinking about trying Latisse. I've heard great things about it and I've also heard that there are some side effects to be concerned with.

I'm still taking this into consideration. If I do, it would happen in the summer so that if I have to wear an eye patch or something unfortunate like that, I'll be able to take some time off. I'm kidding.

I hope.

Have any of you heard anything good, bad or ugly about it?

Either way I'll be okay because I actually just purchased the shu uemura eyelash curler last week. I love it. It's wonderful and definitely makes a difference in the curl factor of my lashes. It puts my $5 cover girl curler to shame. I didn't necessarily believe this to be true but my friend, Alisha let me use hers and I was sold. If you don't have it--I highly recommend it.

So life may need to slow down but my need for long luscious lashes does not. :)

Happy Wednesday!
