Party Hats

I can't believe it's May! The last week has been busy with end of the semester kind of meetings and all the routine stuff. I did manage to go walking with some friends a few times last week and it has been great to take that time to relax and get some exercise. My friend Jill takes this walk daily (with her dog Cedar) and until this week I had never gone. But now I understand why she loves this particular walk. I love the view! It's so calming and refreshing. Especially because the weather is so nice. Here is a picture from yesterday. I'm going to have to bring my camera to get some others pictures this week. Yesterday afternoon a bunch of us went to a birthday party for our friend, JRock (he's in the picture above). It was also the Kentucky Derby and I've always wanted to have a themed party so I could wear a hat. Well, as fate would have it, I found this cute sun hat while I was shopping yesterday morning. So I decided I would wear it to the birthday party after I added some ribbon and the bow. I thought it came out pretty good. I told JRock that I was wearing a hat to his party and he also brought some hats for others to wear. Here is Alisha and he showing off the party hats. And Jill too...
It was a fun party. Today I actually slept in and then didn't venture far from my couch. It was great to relax and get ready for another busy week. Only a few more weeks until the end of the semester...
What did you do this weekend?

What a fun hat! It was a good weekend. Saturday was spent tidying up my house. Sunday was my lazy day. I just kinda hung out on the couch and then the husband and I grilled steaks and made baked potatoes with some friends. YUM!
Enjoy your week!

Great hat!

I participated in a walk for Cystic Fibrosis and worked on Saturday. Sunday, after church, we ran some family errands and then I randomly decided to rearrange my whole house. I no longer have a "spare room". The kids have a playroom. THERE ARE STILL TOYS IN MY LIVING ROOM!! I need a bigger house.
