Good Stuff

Once again, had a weekend that was great, but not at all planned. The only solid plan I had going in was that Friday I was off and I had planned to have lunch with my friend, Angie. That was great because I haven't seen her in awhile and I've really missed her. Then I spent the rest of the day doing a little browsing at the mall. I ended up finding a cute dress and a new bag. (both on sale--and I had a coupon. word.)

Saturday morning I woke up early to head out to yard sales with Angie, Ava (Angie's daughter), and Sabrina. It was fun hanging out with these ladies and I actually found some things I really liked along the way. Let me show you.

A set of four cocktail plates from Pottery Barn with 4 different quotes about hosts and toasts on them.

This rocking chair was my favorite of the day. $15 well spent.
This little stand will soon become the home of my nail polish collection. It must be painted and new knobs put on, of course. But it'll be functional and cute. And only $5. Love that.
Of course I got a few little things too. I found some shutters that I may use for a project sometime. And a globe to go in my office area in my house. As the lady said, for .50 I could have the whole world in my hands. haha.
After my good yard sale luck, I had lunch with my grandma, aunt and cousin (they were passing through town on the way home to NC). While were were there, I got a text from my friend, Emily asking if I wanted to go to a benefit for the athletic department at the college I went to. She had an extra ticket. I had a new dress. It was fate.
It was a fun night. I saw a bunch of people I knew so that was nice too.
I ended my lovely Saturday with a few hours in the hot tub at a lake house that my friend's parents take care of. (I REALLY need to have a hot tub someday)
I thought today would be a stay at home kind of day but I started the day at a pancake breakfast with people from work and then spent the afternoon going to Albany to help Jill pick up her wedding dress and have dinner with some friends.
Dang, I'm tired.
But happy that life is never dull around here.
I hope you all had a great weekend too!

That weekend sounds fantastic! I can't wait to see the cabinet after it is refinished. Must show pictures.

If only we could get together! You would be shocked by all the details. I'm still thinking about it.
