Since this is the week of giving thanks, I want to dedicate posts this week to things that make me feel happy and thankful.
Today I'm thankful and happy that I'm going to be a bridesmaid for my really great friend, Jill. (I can't believe I'm just writing about this now. She's been engaged for a while (last winter) and asked me shortly following the engagement) She and her fiance have been dating for 13 years (high school sweethearts) so it's very exciting. And I am so honored to have been asked because her bridal party consists mostly of her childhood friends (with the exception of two of us) Anyway, I've been watching the progress she's making on the planning and I'm impressed that she's gotten so much done already. The wedding is July 3, 2011. She recently narrowed down the bridal party dresses. I'm thankful that she has excellent taste and this dress is really cute! :) I can't wait to get it ordered. My next mission is to find really cute shoes. Flats for the ceremony (it'll be outside) and heels for the reception (because I prefer heels). And by the way, to further showcase her awesomeness as a bride, she has her dress already, her location, her florist, and the band booked. That's how she shuts it down...bridal style.
Another great thing for the wedding is that Jill and Vinny have asked their bridal party and parents to give them a name of a favorite love song to be compiled into a CD as the wedding favor. I love, love, love this idea. I hate it when people give silly tokens at weddings. I like something with meaning and useful.
So I'm currently trying to come up with my favorite love song. This is proving to be more difficult than it sounds. But I have a few in mind. You know, something by 50 Cent or Eminem. So that's what came to mind as I thought of what I'm happy and thankful for right now. Thanks to Jill for including me in her special day!
Happy Monday!!

What a cute dress!
That's the best wedding favor idea I've ever heard of! Very meaningful. I hope someone puts Clapton's "Wonderful" on it. (That's my favorite love song).
The dress is great. Good work, Jill. My favorite love song is 99 problems but a bitch ain't one.
That dress is so pretty! You are going to be a stunning bridesmaid!
That is a cute dress and looks like ones your really can wear again. You know how brides are notorious for picking our bridesmaid dressed that they think you can wear again but you never doo. This one is beautiful!!!
Thanks so much for stopping my little space on the net to say hello.
Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
