Getting it Together.

I should have gone back to work today. But I didn't. I'm concerned about one of my cats and wanted to stay home to monitor her. Also, because I needed another day to get some stuff done around here. Now, this is day 3 of me staying in the house wearing sweatpants (pajama pants-- letsbeserious), no makeup and not going anywhere. That's very unlike me. But I have to admit that it's been good. With the exception of worrying about my cat, that is. I don't think it's anything super serious but I think it may be vet worthy. ugh.

So what did I do with myself all day? Well, I spent it organizing. One of my favorite activities. I have been trying to figure out a way to organize my jewelry so that it doesn't take up so much space on a dresser or anything. Plus, I really needed to go through my jewelry. While going through stuff, I discovered this jewelry box that my friend, Angela from high school brought me back from Thailand. I decided that this needs to be utilized again.
So back to the real organizing project. I got this jewelry organizer last week (really discounted). I like it because you can see everything and it can be hung on the back of my closet door. It has two sides so it holds a lot of stuff. I think this may work out for me. No more forgetting about a ring or a pair of earrings. I can actually see what I have. And I REALLY like that it hangs on the back of the door so that no one can see it. Perfect. Plus all of my necklaces hang in the closet too. Now everything is in one place.
This isn't new but I did reorganize it.  My Grandpa made this necklace holder a long time ago and I have always used it.  It's great.  I have two of them inside my closet.
After I finished the closet project, I packed away the Christmas trees.  Now my storage room looks back to normal.
After I finished my little projects, I took a shower, ate dinner and then cuddled up on the couch with the cat in question.  She doesn't appreciate the flash.
So far, 2011 has been really relaxing.  I guess I should return to work tomorrow and get back into my routine.  Plus, I have new shoes to wear.  hee hee.

Happy Monday!

I hope the kitty feels better soon. At least you were able to stay occupied with the organizing. It looks great!
