What Weekend?

This weekend went by super fast, as most do.  But this one went more quickly than I wanted it to.  I was looking forward to getting stuff done and relaxing a lot.

On Friday night, Jill, Gillian and I started a project for Jill's wedding.  She needs white frames for each of the tables at her reception but Michaels only  had a certain number so she decided to paint black ones white.  After we enjoyed some dinner, we came back and got to work.

Here are the frames before....
First we had to apply the liquid sandpaper.  Jill and Gillian were super excited about this.
 Gillian hard at work.
Jill was pretty proud of herself and kept wanting the liquid sandpaper to have more "grit"
Since we ate dinner, we lost some daylight for this project.  We had to spray paint in the dark with the help of Jill's phone flashlight.  I'd like to note that neither of these ladies had ever spray painted before.  I felt the need to document this historic event in their lives.
The frames are all on my front porch awaiting the second coat of paint.   The rain prevented us from finishing this project.  Bummer.

Saturday was spent working at Orientation on campus followed by a trip to Bath and Body Works for the semi annual sale.  I stocked up.  And then it was time for a night of laying down watching some TV and an early bedtime.

This morning, I woke up and headed to get groceries and a few other errands.  While I was in BJs, I stopped by the Verizon kiosk to gaze at the phones.  I'm not sure why, because my upgrade isn't until December.  But I did it and the lady there informed me that for only $20, I could upgrade to the iPhone early.  I was tempted, but needed to think it through.  So I asked her to put the phone aside and I'd let her know.  I came home, put the groceries away and thought about it.  After a few hours, I decided I would go back and get it. The pros definitely outweighed the cons.

So I said goodbye to my beloved blackberry and hello to this little cutie.
And since accessories are important, this is the cover I chose.  Try not to be jealous.  haha.
So far, I think I'm in love!  It's really easy to use and the camera is way better than the bberry one.  Plus, I wanted a new iPod, so I got that today too.  Thanks Verizon...I'm glad you got on board with the iPhone.

After I finished up at Verizon, I got ice cream with some friends and came home to realize that I need more hours in the day for all the fun things I have going on.  But for now I'm headed to bed to dream of fun things!

Hope you all had a great weekend!

Love the phone! Just one Q however - why did you get a new iPod? You know the phone has one, right? I use my phone as my iPod, it has all my music on it, just synced from iTunes on the computer.
